Community Care Durham’s Home to Stay Program is a full fee for service program available to clients requiring the skills of an Experienced Personal Support Worker for routine activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.

What do our experienced personal support workers provide?
Our Home to Stay Program provides Personal Support workers for clients residing in Durham Region. This service is provided when there’s no caregiver available to assist their loved ones. The level of care will be determined by an in-home assessment completed by our dedicated care coordinators.
In-Home personal support worker
The In-Home Personal Support Worker offers clients care to help them stay at home longer. This service is delivered by qualified Personal Support Workers who maintain a safe environment and are trained to provide assistance with routine living activities (including bathing and dressing), social interaction, meal preparation, and more.
Cost: $42.00 per hour (regular rate), and $63.00 per hour (statutory holiday rate), with a minimum request of 2.5 hours. Service can be requested for during the day or evening hours 7 days per week. Overnight coverage for special circumstances may be offered. To arrange for service please call toll-free at 1-888-255-6680, option 2.
Cancellation Policy: A charge equivalent to two and a half (2.5) hours will be applied to your account if less than 48 hours’ notice is given when canceling a Home to Stay. For cancellations after hours call toll-free: 1-888-255-6680, option 2, then option 3.
