Working for CCD has provided me with so many opportunities to learn and excel in my professional career. The staff I get to work alongside, and the clients I have helped to serve in our community has been a very rewarding experience for me since my very first day. Over the years I’ve seen CCD continuously grow and expand to serve more and more individuals. We have remained resilient with the times and it feels great to be a part of an organization that looks collectively to its staff to help it evolve and strive higher.

Elsie W. Recreationist

I spend most of my day working with clients: leading them in socialization activities, preparing and serving meals, and providing personal support and personal care. We work as a team to help our clients and their families deal with the challenges of dementia. I enjoy the teamwork and the difference we make in the lives of our clients and their families. Our work environment is evolving rapidly, and COVID-19 has accelerated that trend. There is always a lot more to learn. I also learn a lot from our clients: Their life experiences. Their outlook. Their joys and their challenges.

Jona W. Administrative Coordinator

I am proud to be part of Community Care Durham. I was a volunteer at the Whitby office. Managers and the staff are so welcoming, very friendly, and supportive. I felt valued as a volunteer, so when I received a job offer at that time, I was overwhelmed with joy when because I know this is where I want to be, my second family. It is seven years and counting of blissful work experience. It’s a great opportunity for individuals who wants to make a difference
