Let’s Talk About…Overcoming Mental Health Challenges

Join us as we host Ryan Davie from V.A.S.E. (Voices Against Stigma Everywhere) Speaking Group. V.A.S.E is a mental health advocacy group with individuals who have experienced mental health issues and are now educating the public and health care system about mental health recovery.

Self-Esteem Workshop

Healthy self-esteem is thinking about ourselves and our worth in a balanced way. Join us online to learn how to develop realistic expectations, balance self-evaluations and engage in helpful behaviour. Using strategies from this workshop will allow you to approach situations with an open mind, as well as to have the opportunity for new experiences and learning.

Storytelling Workshop

In this workshop participants will learn the basics that will give them the tools to craft their own personal story.

Marsha Seens from the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog Program will join us to discuss the community settings the therapy dogs visit and the benefits of the companionship of animals including socialization, distraction from pain and anxiety, stress relief, and improved self-esteem.

Martin Franssen, D/CST Fraud Unit, DRPS, will join us to help navigate the complicated legalese, explain the different POA documents, and the implications of passing without a Will.
