COPE (Creating Opportunities for Personal Excellence) is a unique community-based mental health service provided by Community Care Durham (CCD) that offers group support to adults aged 16 and older, with emotional and/or mental health concerns.

Our support groups are focused on emotional support, community connection, and practicing the coping skills needed to maintain or improve your mental health. We offer groups Monday to Friday, between 9:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., including:
Once a referral is processed, an assessment is completed to determine service initiation and to find a COPE group that is right and comfortable for you.
We take great pride in providing a safe, non-judgmental and accepting environment for you to get the support you need. COPE can also connect clients with the other integrated community support services offered by Community Care Durham and our Community partners.

There is no fee for COPE services.
Trained volunteers with various backgrounds and lived experiences, supported by CCD’s COPE staff, facilitate groups for clients and caregivers across Durham Region.
