Community Care Durham seeks new members for its Volunteer Board of Directors

Organization looking to add to an already established and multi-talented group of directors

Community Care Durham (CCD) is looking for local leaders to join its Volunteer Board of Directors.

CCD is a multi-service registered charitable organization, providing a broad range of community support services for adults and their caregivers who have needs related to aging, physical or mental health.

David Sudbury, President, CCD Board of Directors, said it’s an exciting time to be involved with the organization.

“We are looking for individuals to join our strong Board of Directors comprised of talented individuals who care passionately about our mission of Supporting People, Strengthening Community.”

CCD recently refreshed its Strategic Plan which outlines its commitment to being a leading community support agency, not only for Durham, but Ontario. The organization has also redesigned its processes establishing new standards of client care, quality, and safety. It will champion healthy aging and mental health by being at the forefront of innovation and collaboration.  CCD will also be launching a capital campaign to redevelop its Whitby location into an integrated Health and Wellness Hub.

CCD is looking to find directors who have backgrounds in:

  • Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Information Technology/ Digital Skills
  • Member & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Financial Performance
  • Social Responsibility
