Community Care Durham releases 2020 Client Survey

Annual survey results show high level of satisfaction

WHITBY – More than 500 Community Care Durham (CCD) clients recently participated in CCD’s annual Client Satisfaction Survey, with a majority indicating they were very satisfied with the services they received.

Every November CCD asks clients to complete an anonymous survey so that the organization can identify areas of improvement and measure its progress.

CEO James Meloche said staff and volunteers worked especially hard during the pandemic to support clients to remain safely at home so that client feedback from the 2020 survey is invaluable.

“At Community Care Durham we are not simply a provider of service, we are partners in helping people maintain their independence and quality of life,” Meloche said. “That is why we developed measures that help us know if we are listening and partnering with our clients, and if we are helping them live as they choose to live with dignity and respect.”

Survey results are provided to CCD’s Board of Directors, all staff and volunteers.

“It’s important everyone is aware of what our clients are telling us, how well we are doing and areas we can do better,” Meloche stated. “Already, we have identified some improvements, such as our responsiveness to client calls, more flexibility to meet people’s unique needs, and consistency of staffing. We will work with our new Client and Family Advisory Committee to address these challenges in the days ahead.”

Here is the summary of responses:
