Description: On Saturday, October 16, Community Care Durham's COPE Mental Health Program will host its 19th Annual Mental Health Awareness Day at the Oshawa Centre from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Located at the centre concourse, this event is organized to provide information and resources about mental health, as well as to help alleviate the stigma of mental illness. Visitors will have an opportunity to speak with mental health professionals, learn more about the services offered in their community and obtain information from mental health related organizations located within Durham Region.

Description: Community Care Durham will be hosting their own Mayors for Meals Event on March 21st at specific Meals on Wheels locations throughout Durham Region. The local Mayors will be delivering nutritious meals to Community Care Durham clients. This campaign is designed to increase awareness about Meals on Wheels, promote seniors health and recruit volunteers.
Description: Join Community Care Durham as we Walk for Mental Health. The COPE Mental Health Program is currently organizing its annual fundraising event. The COPE Walk will start at 9 am with registration and a warm-up provided by Curves. After the walk, feast on a BBQ lunch compliments of Enbridge Gas. There will be entertainment, children activities and fun for the whole family to enjoy .Other community groups will have displays at our Resource and Information Tent. Pre-register now to receive a $10 Gift Card from Vandermeer Nursery as well as entering your name into our Early Bird Draw. You also have a change to win awesome prizes on event day. Our COPE Walk not only serves as a fundraiser but also raises awareness of mental illness in the community and supports those who are living with mental health issues. Location: Uxbridge Seniors Centre at 75 Marietta Street, Uxbridge, ON
Description: Take a trip to Uxbridge and spend a day in the gardens. This self guided garden tour provides an exciting opportunity to see beyond the gates of 8 private gardens within Uxbridge and the surrounding rural area. Homeowners enjoy the chance to share their gardens, talk about plants and answer questions. Tickets go on sale starting June 1st and can be purchased in Uxbridge at the Tin Mill Restaurant, Blue Heron Books, John's Garden and Garden Artifacts, at Branching Out in Port Perry, at Jingles Gifts in Cannington and at the Tree Valley Garden Centre in Stouffville. Tickets are $20.00 each and include a boxed lunch. Buy your tickets before July 6th to be eligible to enter into our Early Bird Draw. You have the chance to win amazing garden themed Prizes with our Grand Prize being a Dinner for 2 at the Tin Mill Restaurant. Draws will be held weekly leading up to the event. As this is the 15th year for the Gardens of Uxbridge, we will be celebrating this milestone with a special raffle. The prize is a Special Edition Anniversary painting created by well renowned local artist Sharon Nielsen. Tickets for the special raffle will be available on the day of the event.
