Gardens of Uxbridge Garden Tour

For the past 20 years, Community Care Durham - Uxbridge has hosted the Gardens of Uxbridge, which featured over 160 gardens and welcomed visitors from across the GTA.  After many successful years, Community Care Durham is no longer hosting the Gardens of Uxbridge.

Community Care Durham wishes to thank those volunteers who worked so hard on this event, and the local business community for their generosity. Thank you to Investors Group for sponsoring this event, thank you to the local garden hosts who worked rain or shine to get their gardens ready for the day, and to you, the ticket holder, for your support of Community Care Durham - Uxbridge.

Happy Gardening!
12th Annual Community Care Durham Walk for Mental Health Awareness

Saturday, June 10, 2017, 9:00 a.m. to noon

The 12th Annual Community Care Durham Walk for Mental Health Awareness happens at Heydenshore Park in Whitby, and NEW THIS YEAR also at Palmer Park in Port Perry.  Participants have the option to walk or run a 1, 2 or 5 km path along the scenic waterfront trail at each location.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and after the Walk everyone is welcome to enjoy a free barbeque lunch.  As a family-oriented event, there are many fun things to see and do, including entertainment, music, children’s activities, great prizes and more.  The first 200 participants to register at each location will receive a free Walk t-shirt and gift bag.  A Resource and Information Tent will be filled with booths from local community groups, sharing brochures and information on local resources. Although the Walk for Mental Health Awareness is a fundraising event, it is also a great opportunity to raise awareness about mental illness in the community, and support those living with mental health issues.  Show your support and join Community Care Durham as we “Walk for Mental Health Awareness”!  For more information, please visit
